If you already have essential oils at home, here are a few ways you can DIY, and utilize them for your shower experience.

Washcloth

One of the easiest ways to diffuse your essential oils in the shower is on a washcloth.

For this method, apply between 5 to 20 drops of your desired essential oil(s) to a damp wash cloth.

Place the washcloth in an area of the shower were it will get gently grazed by the flow of water, but outside of the direct stream.

Turn up the heat in the shower before getting in to build up as much steam as possible, or until you've reached your desired amount.

Before getting in, adjust the water to your desired temperature, and enjoy!

Tea Ball

If you have a spare or old tea ball in your kitchen, you can also use this to diffuse your essential oils in the shower.

To do so, add course sea salt, or Epsom salt, into the tea ball and apply 5 to 20 drops of your desired essential oils.

You can also incorporate dried plants such as lavender and eucalyptus, the possibilities are endless.

Once you have your tea ball ready, place it in shower where it can get gently touched by the shower stream, without getting drenched.

DIY Shower Steamers

This method has a bit of prep time involved, but you can make multiple at once and store them in a mason jar for later.

You will need a 1 cup of baking soda, 1/4 cup of water, and approximately 20 drops of your favorite essential oils.

Mix the baking soda, water, and essential oils in a dish.

Then divide the mixture into a mold, such as an ice cube tray, or cupcake tray (with liners).

Gently pack down the mixture, and let it sit over night.

Once dried, store your shower steamers in an airtight container, and when you're ready to use them, place one in the shower, away from direct water flow, and enjoy!
