Best Valentine's Day Date Ideas During Covid

We all know Covid might make this Valentine's Day look a little different compared to the last ones. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make our special someone feel extra special, and of course, extra safe, right?

For this holiday, it's the thought and effort that is most important. Below I’ll discuss some of my personal favorite date ideas during covid that I have tried and think you’ll love too!

A Scavenger Hunt

Start off your Valentine's Day or night with a fun, playful scavenger hunt for gifts and you’ll both set the tone for a light-hearted and fun evening. These could be small and simple, like your loved ones favorite chocolate, or one of our small and portable essential oil nasal inhalers, as long as it's small and unique, it will be perfect!

This is such a fun way to spend some quality time together and enjoy an activity you both might remember doing as kids. Whether you’re having your special someone look for clues to get to their special gift, (like our essential oil diffuser gift set which makes for a perfect, romantic and unique gift set,) or incorporating a bunch of smaller, fun gifts and knick-knacks that will make your loved one smile as they uncover each one, you really can't do this wrong! Whatever you decide to use as tokens for them to find, it will still be super fun, suspenseful, and engaging!

You’ll probably find that both of you are enjoying yourselves so much more than you would on a typical dinner for two.

Our portable essential oil nasal inhalers and diffusers make the perfect hidden gems to add to your scavenger hunt. We find that aromatherapy really does bring people together.

Get the Vibe Right

Covid has definitely made it hard for us to feel relaxed at some points over the last year. This Valentine's Day, try your best to create that sense of relaxation as best you can for you and your loved one, at home. Set up some essential oils and candles around your living space to transform the room into the most relaxing and stress-free environment possible.

Lavender is one of the best essential oils to incorporate in your stress-free, relaxing environment. It has been shown to decrease stress levels, lift your mood, and almost immediately bring you a sense of calmness. This would really be a great essential oil to incorporate in your cozy, at-home date.

Make a Custom Valentine's Essential Oil Potion

Another great date idea you can incorporate during this Covid era is creating your own custom essential oil love blend. Research shows that aromatherapy works by stimulating receptors in the nose that then sends signals to the limbic system in the brain which impacts your emotions. Incorporating an activity that is all about scent can really bring you both to a relaxed state and emotionally bring you together in a way you might not have tried before!

By combining different essential oils together and creating a blend that really speaks to the both of you, this can be a fun, bonding, and even an educational experience.

Our recent blog outlines our top picks for essential oils that we most commonly associate with feelings of love. Get as creative as you want with this! If you're not in the mood to make a blend from scratch, we got you covered. Our Love essential oil nasal inhalers or diffusers are already created with our top choice of essential oils remind us most of the feeling of love.

Let's Get Virtual

Scared you'll burn dinner? No worries, you can partake in a fun interactive online cooking class together to end the day with a delicious, warm meal. No one wants to be hangry on Valentine’s day, am I right?

Just because we’re in the middle of a pandemic doesn’t mean we can’t experience places, or things that we haven't had a chance to experience yet. There are so many cool things online that are available virtually, you’d be surprised if you did a quick google search.

Depending on what you and your partner are interested in, you can enjoy a virtual museum tour, cooking class, painting lesson, or even a fun couples yoga class.

You can really get creative with what you want to experience and chances are, there’s probably a virtual lesson or tour that's out there just for you!

Cozy up together with your favorite candle or essential oils to set the mood and enjoy the easiest and comfiest museum tour or at-home painting lesson ever. Right from your couch you can learn something new, or take in some beautiful scenery of a guided tour right from the comfort of your home.
