Frequently Asked Questions
Can I put this product directly on my skin?
Essential oils are highly concentrated and should never be applied directly to the skin without dilution. Dilute them with a carrier oil, such as jojoba, coconut, almond, or grapeseed oil. A common dilution ratio is about 2-3 drops of essential oil per 1 tablespoon of carrier oil for adults. For children or individuals with sensitive skin, a lower dilution is recommended.
Before applying an essential oil blend to a larger area of your skin, perform a patch test. Apply a small amount of the diluted mixture to a small, inconspicuous area of your skin (e.g., inside your wrist) and wait 24 hours to check for any adverse reactions or sensitivities.
Keep essential oils away from sensitive areas, such as the eyes, ears, nose, and genital areas. If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with a carrier oil, not water.
How long does 1 bottle last?
The length in time 1 bottle will last depends on the function of its use, the frequency in which it is used and the amount used per session. Most commonly, we recommend 3-5 drops of oil in a diffuser per use; in which case, our bottle will last around 2-3 months with regulary use
Can I pour this in my bath water?
Yes, you can add essential oils to your bath for a relaxing and aromatic experience. However, it's essential to do so safely and with proper dilution to avoid skin irritation or sensitization. Here are some guidelines for using essential oils in your bath:
Dilution: Essential oils should never be added directly to your bathwater undiluted. Since oils do not mix well with water, they can float on the surface and may come into direct contact with your skin, potentially causing irritation. Instead, dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil or an emulsifier.
Carrier Oils: Use a carrier oil such as jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, or grapeseed oil to dilute your essential oil. Typically, a safe dilution ratio for adding essential oils to bathwater is about 5-15 drops of essential oil per 1 ounce (30 ml) of carrier oil.
Emulsifiers: Alternatively, you can use an emulsifier like a mild liquid soap or bath gel to disperse the essential oil in your bathwater. Mix the essential oil with the emulsifier before adding it to the bath.
Mixing: To ensure proper dispersion, mix the diluted essential oil or emulsified oil thoroughly into the bathwater before getting in.
Caution with Hot Water: Be cautious when using hot or very hot bathwater, as it can increase the volatility of the essential oils and may be more likely to cause skin sensitivity. Lukewarm or warm water is generally safer.
Time: Soak in the bath for 15-30 minutes to allow the essential oils to disperse in the water and be absorbed by your skin.
