3 Reasons Why MOXĒ Became Leaping Bunny Certified

National Pet Day: Why MOXĒ Became Leaping Bunny Certified

Hi fellow pet lovers! In case you forgot, April 11th is National Pet Day!

Oh...you didn't know there was a National Pet Day?

No worries, it's a relatively new holiday in the U.S. that began in 2006 by an Animal Welfare Advocate, Colleen Page.

Page decided to bring attention to the many millions of pets waiting for a home in animal shelters. Since that time, National Pet Day has provided a great avenue for people to celebrate the joy that their pets bring.

In consideration to animal welfare, this National Pet Day we thought we would explain our choice to become a cruelty-free company certified by Leaping Bunny organization.

Core Philosophy

If you're a pet owner like most of us at MOXĒ, you know there's not a day that goes by that you don't celebrate your animal companion.

We often celebrate our pets by giving them a special treat and/or talking to them in that silly baby voice while hugging them uncontrollably as you proclaim how much you love them! Or is that us?

 MOXĒ Became Leaping Bunny Certified

Anyway, here at MOXĒ we love our furry animal friends too!

We take pride in our commitment to never conduct any type of animal testing at any stage of product development.

Since starting MOXĒ, we’ve constantly challenged ourselves to create clean, natural formulations with eco-conscious ingredients whenever possible, and have never tested on any of our animal friends.

Leaping Bunny certification is one of the most difficult certifications a company can achieve, but here at MOXĒ, we’re dedicated to making products that are safe, natural, and good for everyone, especially animals.

Leaping Bunny's core philosophy strongly aligns with our own.

We stand together with all animal lovers and truly believe that great safe products can be made without harming animals.

The Leaping Bunny program offers the only standard that guarantees a product is free of animal testing. This standard is designed to prevent future animal testing as well.

The Leaping Bunny Difference

The Leaping Bunny Program provides the best assurance that a product is free of animal testing.

This is not the case with other cruelty free organizations! We wanted our partnership to be meaningful and creditable to our customers.

In order to become Leaping Bunny certified, we must comply with requirements in place that go beyond current laws. Specifically, we had to

  • Adhere to a fixed cut-off date, an unalterable date after which neither MOXĒ nor any of our suppliers and/or manufacturers may conduct, commission or be party to animal tests.
  • Set up a Supplier Monitoring System to ensure all our suppliers and manufacturers comply with Leaping Bunny criteria.
  • Be open to independent audits to ensure our Supplier Monitoring System adheres to the Leaping Bunny Standard.
  • Renew our commitment to the Leaping Bunny Program annually.

Internationally Recognized

The Leaping Bunny Standard is internationally recognized, formed from the nation's largest animal protection groups, and is partners with animal protection groups in the United States, Canada, and Europe as well.

Leaping Bunny was the obvious choice since it has a long tracked record of standing up to animal rights.

In addition, the Leaping Bunny logo is highly recognizable to many animal caring consumers.

You might be asking why does the Leaping Bunny logo matters to MOXĒ?

Simply, we are proud to display the Leaping Bunny logo on our products because symbolizes transparently and trust that we are upholding our commitment to NEVER test on a single animal.

Final Thoughts

Don’t let April 11 pass you by without celebrating National Pet Day. We all love our pets. It is time to show the world why!

So we ask our friends to stand with us this National Pet Day as we bring awareness to animal testing and commit to a cruelty-free world!

Lastly, MOXĒ products are cruelty free and Leaping Bunny Certified. We are committed to animal welfare, and we would never test our products on them.
