Instagram-Worthy Vacations

by Megan McCullough |

Social media is something that is influencing everything we do these days, including where we vacation. Every time you see someone you know taking pictures of their incredible vacation, the first thing you probably think is, "Ugh, I need to go there." Well, have no fear because the following list is a bunch of places that you should add to your Instagram vacation bucket list, whatever your taste or dream is there will be a destination for every jet-setter.

Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali

When people think about Bali, they think about the crystal blue waters and the string of hotel huts suspended over them. If you want to get away from that kind of tourist attraction and are looking for a more spiritual cleansing, then Pura Tirtha Empul, a Hindu temple, is for you. Locals go here to cleanse themselves in the sacred waters and tourists must respect the bathing rituals and ask for permission before partaking in the rituals themselves.

Humanity Lake, Peru

If you are wanting the perfect mountain picture then Humanity Lake in the Laguna de Humantai is for you. Not only does it offer crystal blue waters, but it also gives you the most stunning views of the Salkantay Mountain. If you choose to stay at the Refugios Salkantay you will be given tours of the trails, cultural norms and the historical ancestry that will surround you.

Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada

Kayaking through this serene and peaceful place should be on everyone's travel list. This park is packed with deciduous forests, black bears (and other wildlife) along with coniferous forests as well. Every camping enthusiast will be in absolute happy here.

It takes time to get to every place on your travel bucket list, and you shouldn't be discouraged if you see someone going to places while you are grinding away. You will get there and it will be worth the wait, and you will appreciate your time in these places that much more. Until you get your airplane ticket, work hard and keep dreaming because the wanderlust bug never truly goes away.
