Everyone knows that the way the world is going right now, that it can use all the help it can get. Corporations run the world and contribute to the deterioration of the planet by the toxic fumes they put into the atmosphere, the resources used amongst hundreds of other things. Thankfully, there are companies out there who are fighting for Mother Earth and trying to help replenish the lost resources.
Lush Cosmetics: This brand is a very well known eco-friendly brand. Not only are they 100% cruelty-free and known for going packaging free by producing solid shampoo bars and body wash bars, they also offer free products to customers who bring back their packaging to be reused again at the company to reduce their packaging waste. So with that in mind, go grab a bunch of their incredible bath bombs and other amazing products and see what the hype is all about.
Apple: You're probably thinking "How is the largest tech company in the world eco-friendly?" Well just because they aren't as upfront about their contributions or beliefs as other companies, doesn't mean the environmental dedication isn't there. In 2015 Apple signed a $1.5 billion deal with First Solar who is the largest producer of solar farms in the United States. Using this technology, Apple actually powers all of its California stores, offices, data centers and headquarters with solar energy making it the largest solar acquisition deal for a non-utility company in history. Apple also focuses on the sustainability of their products and packaging and also offer a renew program that encourages the recycling of used or old apple products.
Seventh Generation: This is an eco-friendly company that has revolutionized the cleaning world. They produce eco-friendly cleaning products that are free from harmful chemicals and toxins. Not only is that beneficial for the environment, it's great for human well-being as well.
Being focused on making the world a healthier and better place should really be at the top of a lot of corporations priority list, we only get one shot at this planet and need to be taking better care of it by watching our waste production, carbon footprint and the resources we use to make the products we use every day.
